Celebrity Silhouette Review

Chapter 11

All these pictures are from business within less than 5 minutes walking around the international pier area, all very close to the Celebrity Silhouette.

Please note that the main reason that I was tempted to get off the ship again was because I was this little hut. When I inquired her about the price, she said it was $40 and that I had to go into Park Royal hotel itself and buy the entrance there. We had considered this as one of the options, but finally decided not to do it due the time that the ship was on the port. But honestly it looks like a great way to spend your time in Cozumel.

The entrance and lobby I assume? That is where you have to go to purchase the day pass.

Some other business along the way.

They are also building a Hard Rock across the street, but it is still in the works.

Back inside the dock complex..

Something really funny is that the same nativity scenes she bought were in the first store just outside the gates. There was no need for us to walk that much! ughhhhhh!

Back inside the Celebrity Silhouette we headed to the passport bar for our first drinks of the of the day, I think it must of been around 2:30.

We ordered a pomegranate Mojito, this one was just ok.

Now a funny story falls in place, ill try to explain. The Celebrity Silhouette elevators inside are not all even they have a little dip at the end when you step on the glass. Well for some reason I was not thinking and I went to lean on the wall thinking that there was a wall right there, but I had completely forgotten about the dip. So yeah, I was lucky that I was able to catch myself before going down. But it was really funny, there were two people inside the elevator, and we all had a quick laugh after the commotion had passed.

I am posting the picture so maybe I make myself clear and you can see the dip from the wood panel to the glass.

We decide to go to the Celebrity Silhouette solarium before sail way and spend sometime there.

At some point the Celebrity Silhouette captain came in the speaker and said that once we left Cozumel the ride would become a little bumpy again. The combining factors of full speed ahead and 10 feet seas would make the ride a little uncomfortable for some. Soon enough it was time for sail way so we went back to the room.

I was running low on my camera battery so I change the batteries and headed towards the our Celebrity Silhouette balcony. This system worked great for me, I have two batteries, and I usually leave one charging and take the other one. Every so often that I come in the room I swap batteries, I pretty much never have to worry about running out of battery.

There was a group of 200 cruisers that was late from an Celebrity Silhouette shore excursion. Apparently they were in a sailing excursion, 200 sailing? maybe the regatta? I am not really sure there, but that just sounded odd. Anyway they were late because the weather impacted the sailing conditions. They arrived soon enough, but they were in no rush to get onboard, they were taking their sweet time walking that pier.

here they come

This video is about the shoreline, sorry about how shaky it is. It was extremely windy that day. I should of used the tripod.

Here is a video of their vessel leaving and them walking slowly into port. it is actually a cool video. It almost sound like the vessel uses turbines. I seen speed boats with turbines, but to what point is this something economical for a ferry?

Eventually everyone was aboard the Celebrity Silhouette and we were on our way.

Ok so I have two videos,
The first one is long and it just of us leaving port,

But in this one my friends, you get to meet my fabulous neighbor!!!
She was actually being pretty quiet that day, go figure.

After leaving port we started talking and the topic of Grand Cayman came up, we really wanted to go there and could only hope that with that horrible weather we would call port. We had booked a shore excursion the day before leaving and we were really pumped to do it, it would a first for both of us.

Full speed ahead mate! (well not full , but full cruising speed )

After sail away mom wanted to go to mass, so we headed downstairs to go to mass.

Tonights show aboard the Celebrity Silhouette, (I don’t think I made it)
