Welcome to our Royal Caribbean Drink Prices webpage. The lists on this page were taken from our cruise aboard the Oasis of the Seas. I noticed that the prices have gone up substantially since our last cruise on the Allure of the Seas 3 years ago. Of course, that is expected as other cruise lines have done the same. I have also posted some of our receipts so you have a better idea of the cost of the drinks with the 18% gratuity that is added to the check automatically.
Keep in mind that you’re allowed two bottles of wine (per cabin) with you on your carry-on when you board the ship. If you’re not a heavy drinker, you could make these two bottles last during the entire cruise.

If you are going to drink more that 5 mix cocktails, I highly suggest that you plan on buying the premium beverage package. After that fifth drink the package starts paying for itself. It also helps if you drink soda and bottled water. Actually with some of the higher priced drinks it only takes 4 drinks to meet the drink minimum.

Something interesting that I noticed, is that even high end liquors cost around $10 each. In land Hendricks can get quite pricey, I have paid as much as $16 for a pour on some bars.

This was the priciest drink that I had, and it was not worth it. He used the same pour as he would on a normal shot and then just watered it down. I was a bit frustrated by it. Had I known that, I would have gone with my usual long island ice tea.
During the last days of the cruise they offer a special drink package. In our case the package was for 10 drinks for the cost of $79 plus the 18% gratuity. If you do the math each drink comes out to $9.34 which is much better than $14 that they would normally cost you. All you have to do is check the bars during the last 2 or 3 days of your cruise and ask your bartender about it. I also heard that different cruise ships offer different plans, but they usually vary on the amount of drinks offered.

Determining what to do with drinks during your cruise is really up to each independent cruiser. Only you know how much you’re able to drink, or not drink. You should also consider how many port days you have during your cruise, as it is much harder to meet the drink minimum when you spend most of the at port.
When we had the drink package on our Celebrity Silhouette cruise, we found it hard to drink the amount of drinks necessary to make it worth. But then again, most drinks during that cruise were priced considerably lower than they are now. With most drinks $12 your bar bill can get very high quickly. I highly suggest that you make the decision before you board the cruise, that way you can save the most amount of money possible.
For many like me, planning a drink includes calculating drinking costs. That is definitely something important to keep in mind when full calculating your budget.
Service at the bars was quick and very friendly. They also have cocktail servers constantly walking around offering drinks around the pools and the solarium. It seems that RCCL has that under control, and you will not go without a drink in your hand 🙂
